Nurse Residency
Hospice Nurse Residency Program
Care Dimensions' innovative nurse residency program introduces new nursing graduates and experienced nurses to the field of hospice and palliative care. Nurses develop their hospice expertise through a combination of classroom education, field visits and patient care with the mentorship of a preceptor.
Our next class will begin in September 2024. Application information will be posted soon.
Program details:
- New nursing graduates will have a six-month residency.
- Experienced nurses will have a three-month residency.
- Curriculum includes classroom lectures, simulated patient care scenarios, field observations and guided mentorship by a dedicated preceptor. Training will be based out of our Danvers and Lincoln locations.
- Nurse residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency and with successful completion of the residency, offered a full-time position in an LPN or RN Case Management role.
- Eligibility to sit for national certification in hospice and palliative care (CHPN)
