Senior Hospice and Palliative Care Physician

Dr. Vesel, a nationally recognized specialist in pediatric palliative care, joined Care Dimensions in December 2012 to provide hospice and palliative care to children and adults. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Vesel was on the staff at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she was the director of the interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care fellowship program and a member of the pediatric advanced care team (PACT). She has served as co-director of the Harvard Medical School course "Living with Life Threatening Illness" and was co-director of the pediatric track of the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care's Program in Palliative Care Education and Practice.

Dr. Vesel is board certified in hospice and palliative care and pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She completed her medical degree in Kosice, Slovakia, a pediatric residency at Tufts New England Medical Center and a pediatric critical care fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Vesel is an instructor for the Harvard Palliative Care Medicine Fellowship Program.
