Talia Lewis, MD, of Care Dimensions Recognized for Outstanding Work as Palliative Care Physician

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) selected Care Dimensions’ Hospice and Palliative Care Physician Talia Lewis, MD, as a 2020 CHA CIRCLE Award winner in recognition of her outstanding work as a palliative care physician and modeling the CIRCLE values: Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Community, Learning and Excellence. Dr. Lewis conducts palliative care consultations at hospitals in the Cambridge Health Alliance network and was nominated by two of her CHA colleagues.

“I have never met her in person, but I have learned from her notes how to talk to patients who are dying,” said Dana Bogan, LCSW, in Primary Care Complex Care Management at CHA, who nominated Dr. Lewis. “Talia's gentle and compassionate approach can be felt through the notes I read about shared patients, which exemplify a patient-centered approach that supports them in making difficult choices about what their goals of care are. Talia simply hasn't impacted just one patient in her time at CHA, she positively impacts every patient and care team with whom she collaborates.”

Jennifer Ann Thiesen, CHA senior director of Population Health Clinical Design noted, “We are fortunate to have Dr. Lewis.”
