Care Dimensions provides employees extensive learning and development opportunities, including education benefits such as tuition reimbursement, scholarships, as well as discounted tuition through a partnership with Regis College. The benefits are in addition to ongoing preceptor and mentoring opportunities and in-service training programs that enable clinical employees to earn required CEUs and certifications.

Several employees who have used education benefits shared some thoughts about their experiences with the program.

“Becoming a nurse practitioner is something I have wanted to do ever since starting nursing school,” said Evening RN Starline Charles, who is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing (MSN) and is expected to graduate from the UMass-Boston Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program in May 2019. “I have been benefiting from both the tuition reimbursement and scholarship programs at Care Dimensions. The money helps me cover a good portion of the cost of my credits.”

“Management is very supportive of my educational goals as I work to pursue my MSN degree,” said RN Admissions Liaison Lindsey McDermott, who is enrolled in the MSN, Nursing Leadership- Health Administration program at Regis College. In addition to discounted tuition, Care Dimensions’ partnership with Regis “offers flexibility, allowing you to go at your own pace, which is a great option for people who work full time,” Lindsey said.

“The more we know, the more we have to offer those we serve,” said Florence Exantus, clinical director, who recently completed her MSN with a concentration in nursing education from the University of Phoenix (online).  “Going to school is never wasted time.” 

“I have a strong desire to keep growing and learning, to keep expanding my skills and my ability to meet patient and family needs in the wide variety of complex situations that present themselves in hospice work,” said Creative Arts Therapist Coordinator Li Kynvi, who is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA. “Certainly the tuition and scholarship assistance will decrease my student loan burden considerably. Also the general support in our work culture for furthering education creates an atmosphere that is conducive to a wonderful study-work integration model. Our generous Earned Time policy allows me to be in California for intensives and still be able to take a sick day here and there if I need it.”

“I have always wanted to complete a graduate degree,” said Director of Admissions Patty Ramsden, who plans to attain her MSN in Health Leadership from Salem State University at the end of 2020.  “Care Dimensions’ education benefits made the decision to return to school an easy one. “

“Care Dimensions’ education benefits have been vital in being able to afford to continue my education,” said Talent Acquisition Specialist Chris Vigliotta, who recently attained his MBA at Endicott College. “It is not only helpful financially, but also motivating to get a good grade due to the reimbursement stipulations. It is a great feeling to get that full amount and a sense of accomplishment.”
