Dr. Suzanne Mitchell joined Care Dimensions in 2020 as a hospice and palliative care physician. She is focused on managing the care of adult hospice patients and works with an interdisciplinary team north of Boston to support patients residing at home with pain management and quality of life issues. She also manages the care of hospice patients at Care Dimensions’ Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Board certified in palliative and hospice medicine, Dr. Mitchell received her medical degree from Wakeforest School of Medicine and her master’s degree from the University of California – Los Angeles. She is the director of research at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, department of Family Medicine and Community Health in Worcester, and is a consulting scientist with the serious illness care team at Ariadne Labs, supporting research and dissemination of the Serious Illness Care program across the U.S. and worldwide.
Dr. Mitchell is a member the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Diabetes Association.
