Heather Johnston

Vice President & Chief Development Officer

As Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Heather Johnston plans and executes strategies to enhance Care Dimensions’ fundraising capabilities in support of its mission of providing expert, compassionate care to people with serious illness.

Heather brings over 25 years of experience raising funds for a variety of nonprofits, from national organizations (Easter Seals and Habitat for Humanity) to local health care and social service agencies. Mission-based work has been a major focal point of her fundraising career that includes capital campaigns and major gifts, budgeting and financial reconciliation, special event planning, annual campaigns, planned giving, and implementing best practices for growth and efficiency.

She has held leadership board roles in both the New England Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and in many organizations based on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
