Both the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers and the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln are designed to offer 24-hour care. Our houses offer a warm, homelike setting where patients can receive the level of hospice care that they need.

Each hospice house offers private suites overlooking landscaped gardens, and comfortable common areas, including kitchens, family rooms, children’s play areas, chapels, and libraries.

Care Dimensions’ hospice houses specialize in:

• Inpatient/acute hospice care: For patients with complex pain and symptom management issues that require round-the-clock nursing care. For most patients, their insurance will cover the cost of the stay. Learn more.
• Residential hospice care: For patients who are struggling to remain at home during their end-of-life journey. For most patients, medical care is covered by insurance. Room and board require a separate fee. Learn more.
• Respite care: Short-term stays for Care Dimensions hospice patients whose caregivers need extra support.

Care Dimensions’ hospice houses focus on family support and patient comfort. Friends and family members are always welcome and encouraged to visit and stay.

Our Hospice House Team

Our hospice team partners with patients and caregivers to develop customized plans that manage illness and honor personal needs and goals. Our interdisciplinary team brings together the skills and experience of:

• Board-certified physician specializing in hospice care that aims to enhance comfort, reduce pain and suffering, and improve quality of life for patients.
• Specially trained nurse to coordinate care and manage symptoms and pain.  
• Hospice aide to provide personal care.
• Social worker to focus on the social and emotional goals and needs of the patient and family.
• Chaplain to offer non-denominational spiritual support.
• Trained volunteer to provide compassionate physical and emotional support for the patient and family.
• Bereavement counselor to help families prepare for death and cope with grief.
