Nurse Residency
Hospice Nurse Residency Program
Care Dimensions' innovative nurse residency program introduces new nursing graduates and experienced nurses to the field of hospice and palliative care. Nurses develop their hospice expertise through a combination of classroom education, field visits and patient care with the mentorship of a preceptor.
We are now accepting applications for our Feburary 2025 class.
Program details:
- New nursing graduates will have a six-month residency and must have their Massachusetts LPN or RN license by January 24, 2025.
- Experienced nurses will have a three-month residency.
- Curriculum includes classroom lectures, simulated patient care scenarios, field observations, and guided mentorship by a dedicated preceptor. Training will be based out of our Danvers office; field work will be conducted in Greater Boston.
- Nurse residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency and work in an LPN or RN Case Management role following graduation.
- Eligibility to sit for national certification in hospice and palliative care (CHPN)
