13 Employees Recognized at Care Dimensions Annual Employee Awards

Danvers and Waltham, Mass. – Care Dimensions congratulated 13 employees who were nominated by their peers for the nonprofit’s annual Employee Awards, which recognize outstanding service and compassionate care in support of Care Dimensions' work and mission in 2023.

The Rick Vescovi Memorial Award is given in memory of Rick Vescovi, a dedicated social worker for Hospice of the North Shore who positively affected patients, families, and co-workers. The 2023 recipients are Lorinda Marshall, lead senior volunteer coordinator based out of the North Shore office, and Kathy Pike, a social worker serving patients and families in Greater Boston.

The Kathleen Schroot Memorial Award is given to Care Dimensions nurses in honor of Kathleen Schroot, the first registered nurse hired at the organization in 1989. The 2023 recipients are Maureen Macaro, an RN case manager based out of the North Shore office, Taofeek “T” Lawal, an RN case manager for Greater Boston, and Lisa Josselyn (posthumous), an LPN triage nurse.

The Lane-Butler Gift of Compassion is given to Care Dimensions hospice aides honoring the life of David Lane and the compassion of his Care Dimensions hospice aide, John Butler. The 2023 recipients are Mario Giraud and Moses Mugwanya.

The Martha Swindell Dragonfly Award honors the hospice work of Martha Swindell, RN, who served as a Care Dimensions nurse and, later, as a hospice aide supervisor. The 2023 recipients are Cecelia Howard and Agnes Louis.

The Christina McCann Service Before Self Leadership Award, in honor of Christina McCann, former VP of Philanthropy and member of the Board of Directors, is given to two members of the Care Dimensions leadership team to celebrate exemplary leadership across the organization. The 2023 recipients are Lauriann Deely, director of provider relations, and Paula Paige, manager of compliance and health information.

The Excellence in Action Award is given to two non-clinical/non-patient-facing staff members whose consistent support, dedication and teamwork help ensure that Care Dimensions attains its mission and maintains its excellence. The 2023 recipients are Kiera Moylan, provider relations administrative assistant, and Drew Valenti, senior support specialist in the Information Technology Department.
