Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Awards $5,000 to Care Dimensions to Support Children’s Bereavement Program

Care Dimensions, the largest hospice and palliative care provider in Massachusetts, is proud to announce receiving a $5,000 grant from the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation. The funds will support the non-profit organization’s children’s bereavement program, which offers individual support services for family members of patients, as well as group programs.

“Our children's program depends largely on the kindness of our donors, and we are so thankful for their support,” said Samantha McCarthy, Children's Program Manager. “Our services not only offer solace to grieving children but also provide them tools to navigate their emotions."

"Children have unique grieving processes distinct from adults, making it vital to have experts who understand their needs,” said Patrice DePasquale, Director of Bereavement Services. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rockland Trust for their dedicated support."

In addition to individual sessions with family members of patients, Care Dimensions provides community remembrance events and programming tailored to address unique types of loss. The organization also hosts a daylong event each summer, Camp Stepping Stones, which brings together grieving children and their families to share stories and meet others who face similar challenges.
