Care Dimensions and Solimine Funeral Homes to host Alzheimer's Learning Series

Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects families in communities across the world. But thanks to the generosity of Solimine Funeral Homes and Care Dimensions, families and friends affected by this disease are invited to participate in a learning series about Alzheimer’s to help them to better understand this disease.

The Alzheimer’s Learning Series is being offered in three parts:

Part one which takes place on April 7th discusses the changes that occur in the brain when dementia sets in and will also explain the differences between “normal” forgetfulness and signs of Alzheimer’s disease.

Part two is being held on May 5th and will offer practical suggestions on communicating with someone who is cognitively impaired. This program will also offer some ideas on failure free activities that family members can do with their loved ones who have dementia.

The final part takes place on June 2nd and will discuss the ways in which you can change the home environment to make it safe and less frustrating for a loved one suffering from dementia.

Each part is being held from 9:30-10:30AM at the Solimine Community Center on 583 Chestnut Street, Suite 6, in Lynn. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served during each hour- long session geared to helping the participants better understand Alzheimer’s disease.

If you would like to participate in one, two, three or all parts of this program, please RSVP to Kim Anderson Hogan, Director of Community Outreach for Solimine Funeral Homes at (781)-718-5668 or email her at
