Care Dimensions hires new senior volunteer coordinator
MetroWest Daily News

Care Dimensions, a nonprofit Massachusetts hospice provider, hired Jane Corrigan, of Watertown, as its new senior volunteer coordinator for the Wellesley office, formerly Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston.

Corrigan most recently worked for four years as hospice volunteer coordinator for Steward Healthcare System in Westwood. In her new role, she will recruit and train hospice volunteers and match them with opportunities including patient companionship, office assistance and complementary therapies for volunteers who are certified in massage, reiki and pet therapies.

A singer who has performed in the St. Patrick’s Family Players’ production of “Resurrection” for 20 years and with the Reagle Music Theatre in Waltham for 25 years, Corrigan calls complementary therapies “a specialty that is phenomenal for hospice to be able to offer.”

“It is a privilege for people to let you into their life at their most personal time,” she adds.

Watertown residents may remember Corrigan as owner of the Busy Buddies home day care, which she ran as a preschool for 20 years.

She is looking for new hospice volunteers and will conduct a six-week training program at Care Dimensions’ Wellesley office, Suite 301, 70 Walnut St., beginning Feb. 15. The sessions will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays.

For information or to register, contact Corrigan at 781-373-6574 or JCorrigan@caredimensions.org.
