Care Dimensions recognizes Stoneham Social Worker
Stoneham Sun

In honor of National Social Work Month, Care Dimensions recognizes Stoneham resident and Care Dimensions social worker Stefanie Catella, a licensed independent clinical social worker.

“Our social workers play an integral role within our interdisciplinary team and strive to provide the best care to patients and families, no matter what their needs may be,” said Judy Cranney, vice president and chief operating officer of Care Dimensions.

All Care Dimensions social workers hold a Master of Social Work and have achieved licensure. More than half of Care Dimensions social workers have earned an advanced certification in hospice and palliative care through the National Association of Social Workers.

The major goals of hospice and palliative care social workers include encouraging expression of feelings; enhancing family communication; supporting the family in their coping; connecting families with community resources and education; and being a supportive presence to the patient and family throughout the journey at end of life.

Since 1978, Care Dimensions has provided comprehensive and compassionate care for individuals and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. As the non-profit leader in advanced illness care, we offer services in more than 90 communities in Eastern Massachusetts.
