Care Dimensions to offer Loss from Substance Abuse Support Group
Danvers Patch.com

Care Dimensions will offer a 7-week bereavement support group for those that are grieving the loss of a loved one due to alcohol and/or drug abuse. There is a great deal of social stigma surrounding this type of loss which can lead to feelings of isolation, anger, guilt, and shame. This group aims to offer a safe, caring, non-judgmental space for those that need a place to grieve this loss. The group begins on Monday, January 23 and runs until March 6 at the Bertolon Center for Grief & Healing, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Leading the workshop is licensed-social worker, Nathaniel Lamkin the Sr. Director of Patient and Family Services for Care Dimensions. As a clinician, Nate has provided counseling and emotional support to adults, children, couples, and families coping with life-limiting illness, grief, and loss in a variety of settings for over 16 years. If you or someone you may know is interested in participating in this group, or would like more information, please call 855-774-5100, email Grief@CareDimensions.org or visit www.CareDimensions.org.
