New Danvers cable show focuses on hospice care

Danvers Herald

Care Dimensions, formerly Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, is producing a new cable TV show titled, “Timing is Everything” to educate the public on living with an advanced illness and the benefits of hospice and palliative care.

The show will air on Danvers Cable Access TV (DCAT) and is a part of Care Dimensions’ community education and outreach program, which works to dispel the myths surrounding hospice care and to empower individuals dealing with an advanced illness to access these services sooner so there is more opportunity to improve their quality of life.

The format of the new show will feature interviews with experts in the healthcare field, beginning with Care Dimensions VP and Chief Medical Officer Stephanie Patel, MD as the first guest.

“Timing is Everything” will air on DCAT on Sept. 24, 26 and 28 on Channels 99 (Comcast) and 36 (Verizon) or you can watch the video on demand at www.danverstv.org. The program will also be made available to the cable access stations in other communities.

Mary Crowe, LICSW, ACHP-SW, Education Coordinator for Care Dimensions will act as the host for the new show. For the last nine years Crowe has led the organization’s professional and community educational outreach, coordinating and delivering hundreds of programs each year, many with continuing education credits for healthcare professionals.
