Care Dimensions Welcomes New Vice President of Quality and Complaince

DANVERS, Mass.— Care Dimensions, founded in 1978 as Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, has hired Dorothy Kelly-Flynn, RN, MPH, for the newly created role of vice president of quality and compliance.  She will oversee Care Dimensions’ efforts in clinical quality, customer satisfaction, performance improvement, staff education, compliance, medical records, and support services.

“As the largest hospice in the state, employing 400 and caring for more than 600 patients per day, the delivery and measurement of clinical quality, customer satisfaction and compliance is of critical importance and deserves more focused attention. We are thrilled that Dorothy has joined us, bringing with her tremendous experience and focus on patient safety and quality improvement gained from the acute-care hospital setting,” said Care Dimensions President and CEO Diane Stringer. “I know that she will be able to take our already excellent program and bring it to the next level.”

Kelly-Flynn comes to Care Dimensions after 18 years at Winchester Hospital, most recently as the director of quality, patient safety, risk management and compliance. In that role, she was responsible for many facets of performance improvement and quality control. Prior to that position, she had successive roles in quality, clinical services development and business development at Winchester Hospital. She also has worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Kelly-Flynn earned a master’s of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health.
