Care Dimensions to Conduct "Active Shooter" Live Drill at Danvers' Sylvan Street Office on October 4, 2019

Care Dimensions will be conducting an “Active Shooter” live drill on Friday, October 4, from 9-11 am at its offices at 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers.

There will be no weapons, no sounds of guns shots or emergency vehicle sirens used during the drill. A safety officer will be onsite throughout the exercise to observe and ensure everyone’s safety. There may be limited access to some areas of our parking lot as the police secure the perimeter. There should be no disruptions to other businesses or residents on Sylvan Street.

What to Expect:  The exercise will involve the evacuation of employees from our main office in coordination with Danvers Police, Danvers Fire Department and Cataldo Ambulance Service. There will be actors portraying the “armed intruder” as well as victims, some who will be made up with fake blood to simulate injuries. The Danvers Police will be dressed in full tactical gear and will enter our offices to locate and disarm the intruder and the “victims” will be treated by the Fire Department and EMS. Employees will be evacuated to the parking lot and will exit the building with their arms up.

The goal of this exercise is to prepare our employees on how to react to an armed intruder and for our emergency operations to practice a coordinated response with community first responders. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Jean Graham at 978-750-9370.
