Hospice Therapy Dog Gets Royal Treatment
September 9, 2016 – Patrick, one of Care Dimensions’ therapy dogs, takes a break from visiting with hospice patients to get his monthly grooming at the Beverly Dog Spa. Dog Spa owner Ruth Orlando says that Patrick’s spa repertoire includes nail trimming, ear and eye cleaning, 2 to 3 hypoallergenic baths, a blow dry and haircut. All of Patrick’s grooming visits are free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the Dog Spa. During the week Patrick can be found spending time with patients at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. This year he’ll be leading his very own team “Patrick’s Pals” at the Walk for Hospice on Sunday, October 2, 8am at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers. For more information visit www.CareDimensions.org/walk.
